Formula V8 at COTA: Orudzhev has won race 2, Fittipaldi crashed out

Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing by AVF) scored his second victory of the season in the World Series Formula V8 3.5 event at Circuit of the Americas. Orudzhev is the winner of the second race, ahead of Alex Palou (Teo Martin Motorsport) and Diego Menchaca (Fortec Motorsports), while championship leader Pietro Fittipaldi (Lotus) crashed out and scored no points.

Fittipaldi stayed on the top of the championship standings but his gap over second-placed Matevos Isaakyan, who finished sixth in Race 2, dropped to ten points (223:213). Egor Orudzhev is third in the championship classification with 198 points, with two more races on calendar scheduled for November 17-18 at Bahrain International Circuit. With fifty points still in the game, the fourth-placed Alfonso Celis Jr (192 points) also has mathematical chances for championship title.
