Formula V8: Pietro Fittipaldi smashed a competition at Silverstone
Pietro Fittipaldi takes another dominant Formula V8 victory at Silverstone. Like in Saturday’s race, the Brazilian youngster in the #4 Lotus started from pole and led from lights to flag to win the second race of the weekend of the World Series Formula V8 3.5.
Egor Orudzhev (SMP Racing) finished as the runner-up again, taking the P2 from Roy Nissany (RP Motorsport) through the pits.
Rene Binder (Lotus) finished in the fourth place, inheriting that position after Nelson Mason (Teo Martin Motorsport) and Matevos Isaakyan (SMP Racing) collided during a fight for P4 on lap 11, causing a one-lap Safety Car period. Prior to that accident, Mason had won a duel against Binder and set the fastest lap of the race.
The next round of the World Series Formula V8 3.5 is scheduled for May 5-6 at Spa-Francorchamps, during the FIA WEC weekend.
