ADAC GT Masters: Double win for Lambo after yesterday's exclusion
GRT Grasser Racing Team clinched a double victory in the second race of the season-opening ADAC GT Masters round at Motorsport Park Oschersleben. It was a sweet-bitter revenge for yesterday’s disqualification of GRT’s Lamborghini Huracan’s from the first race after technical irregularities were found.
Mirko Bortolotti and Andrea Caldarelli won the race in the #63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 ahead of their teammates Rolf Ineichen and Christian Engelhart in the #82 Lamborghini. Dominik Schwager and Luca Ludwig scored the first ADAC GT Masters podium for the Ferrari 488 GT3 in the #7 car of HB Racing.
Two Lamborghni were also the fastest in qualifying, with Engelhart securing the pole position. The polesitter Christian Engelhart defended the lead at the start against Andrea Caldarelli and stayed in front until the compulsory pit stops. Shortly after Rolf Ineichen had taken over from Engelhart, he lost a lead to Mirko Bortolotti. For Bortolotti, it was his third ADAC GT Masters victory while his new teammate Caldarelli celebrated his first win.
