Rene Rast wins at Zandvoort, Paffett confirms championship lead

The reigning DTM champion Rene Rast (Audi Sport Team Rosberg) scores his first win of the year today at Zandvoort in the second race of the fifth round of 2018 season.

The driver of the #33 Audi RS5 DTM defeated pole-sitter and yesterday’s winner Gary Paffett in the #2 Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM. Paul di Resta finished third in the #3 Mercedes.

The other point scorers in the second race were Philipp Eng (BMW), Augusto Farfus (BMW), Pascal Wehrlein (Mercedes), Nico Muller (Audi), Edoardo Mortara (Mercedes), Lucas Auer (Mercedes) and Timo Glock (BMW).

The next DTM round is scheduled for August 11-12 at Brands Hatch. The championship is returning to Great Britain for the first time since 2013.
