ADAC F4 Championship - Hockenheim: Double pole for Marvin Dienst

Marvin Dienst (HTP Junior Team), the current leader of ADAC F4 Championship, secured pole position in both tomorrow’s races of season’s finale at Hockenheimring. 18-year old Marvin, who lives in Lampertheim, a few kilometers from Hockenheimring, was dominant at his home track and set the fastest time in qualifying.

His teammate Janneau Esmeijer will start from second in both races. Dienst’s closest rival Joel Eriksson (Motopark) will start 4th, sharing the second row with third placed Lando Norris (kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport). Joey Mawson (Van Amersfoort Racing), who is third in championship standings and is still a candidate for the title, will start both Saturday’s races from sixth place on the grid.

With three races remaining and a 75-point maximum award, only three drivers are in the game for the first ADAC F4 Championship title. Dienst has 310 points, 30 more than Eriksson and 54 more than Mawson. In the Rookie classification, excitement will be even bigger, because there’s only a 2-point gap between leader Mike Ortmann (kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport) and his teammate David Beckmann. Mick Schumacher, the son of Michael Schumacher, is in third with 240 points, which gives him a mathematical chance of winning the title.
