Aston Martin has delayed the decision regarding the entry into Formula 1  until January, indicating that the move could be too expensive.

The manufacturer has been in talks with a few Formula 1 teams this year, with Force India as its most likely partner, but the final decision about the entry into the most popular racing series will be made in January.

“After New Year, we will decide what is our strategy not just about Formula 1, but broader activity in motorsport. In principle, we won’t enter Formula 1 in 2016, but that could be revised in the future. We still have to figure out what is our path in sports car racing,” said Simon Sproule, Aston Martin’s marketing and communication director.

The talks between Aston Martin and Force India team were stalled last week, without any concrete agreement and it looks like F1 team should look somewhere else for a partner which can bring team up to a new level.
