Audi Sport TT Cup: Jan Kisiel - fifth winner in the fifth race
Polish driver Jan Kisiel wins the first race of the Audi Sport TT Cup at Red Bull Ring. Kisiel is the fifth winner in five races of the 2015 season and currently is second placed in the championship standings. The second placed driver in Spielberg was Dennis Marschall, ahead of Nicolaj Møller Madsen, who remains in the lead for the championship title.
Møller Madsen started from pole but lost two places in the first lap. Kisiel jumped from third to first and remained in the lead till the end. Behind his back there were a few interesting battles and overtakings between Loris Hezemans, Marschall and Møller Madsen.
In the end, Marschall managed to secure second place, 1.9 seconds after the winner and ahead of Møller Madsen. Hezemans lost three places and finished fifth, behind Rahel Frey, who was the best placed guest driver.
There were two more ladies in the top 10 – Gosia Rdest finished 8th and Mikaela Ahlin-Kottulinsky finished 10th. Other points scorers are Christoph Hofbauer (6th), Dominik Peitz (7th), Kaan Onder (9th) and Shaun Thong (11th). The guest drivers had their own winners ceremony, apart from Rahel Frey there was playmate Doreen Seidel and journalist Emiliano Perucca Orfei on the podium. Three famous skiers Marcel Hirscher, Felix Neureuther and Aksel Lund Svindal finished at the end of the field.
After five races, Møller Madsen has 103 points, Kisiel is second with 90, Marschall has 77 and Hofbauer is fourth with 67 points. The next race is scheduled for tommorow at 10.10 again at Red Bull Ring. Alexis van de Poele will start from pole, with Dennis Marschal in the front row. Jan Kisiel and Nicolaj Møller Madsen will start from second row.
