Audi Sport TT Cup: Victory for guest driver, Jan Kisiel is the champion

Jan Kisiel is the first champion of Audi Sport TT Cup. Polish driver finished sixth overall (fifth in Cup classification) in the first race of season’s finale at Hockenheim and secured enough points for the title, with one race remaining.

First time in Audi Sport TT Cup the guest driver was the fastest overall. Audi factory driver and experienced GT racer Rene Rast won the race in which he started from third place. He progressed through the field, overtaking Dominik Peitz and the poleman Joonas Lappalainen.  Lappalainen finished second, while Peitz lost one more place against championship contender Nicolaj Moller-Madsen. 17-year-old Finn Lappalainen scored his first Cup victory, after two second places at Oschersleben, and became the youngest driver in the field which won. He is also the seventh race winner this season.

Dennis Marschall finished fifth overall, ahead championship leader Jan Kisiel. With one more race scheduled for tomorrow, 21-year-old Kisiel has 28 points more than Danish driver, so he can start to celebrate. Moller Madsen still can lose his second place, because Marschall had only 5,5 points less.
