Chilton on the way to SLR

Sebastien Loeb Racing is preparing to announce Tom Chilton as their third driver for 2016 WTCC season.

After bringing Gregoire Demoustier from Craft Bamboo Racing team, and keeping Moroccan driver Mehdi Bennani for third season, Citroen’s customer team wants to complete their line-up with 30-year-old British driver who spent his last two seasons with ROAL Motorsport.

Chilton can be a leader of title contender

Behind the wheel of one of the Citroen C-Elysees, Chilton can surely go into the battle for Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy as he has enough quality and experience. Briton won 3rd place in 2015 WTCC Yokohama Drivers’ Trophy driving Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 which proved to be a lot behind C-Elysee.

In the meantime, ROAL Motorsport could withdraw from the WTCC if they lose Chilton. If that happens, second ROAL’s driver Tom Coronel can join ALL-INKL Munnich Motorsport team for 2016 campaign.
