The sixth round of this year’s Carrera Cup Germany has been moved from Germany to the neighbouring country of Austria where it will be held at the famous Spielberg Red Bull Ring race track, the home of Austrian Formula One Grand Prix race.

The long (4,3 kilometers) circuit will hold two races this weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday and it will be perfect place for the battle between the Porsche 991 GT3 Cup drivers. Today, there were practice sessions held before the qualifying session and the first race on Saturday.

At today’s practice session, the fastest time was achieved by local hero Phillip Eng at 1:32.464 seconds. Some people would call it home turf advantage but Eng has been dominant through out the season and it was expected that he would deliver the fastest time on Red Bull Ring.

However, this is sill just a practice session; there is long way to go and two more races to be held. At second position was Michael Ammermuller and third was Matero Cairoli.
