Porsche Supercup Hungaroring – race

  • Sven Müller crossing finish line

The fifth round of this year’s Supercup championship was held in Hungary on the well-known Formula One track— Hungaroring. After a very hot but interesting practice and qualifying session where the fastest practice time was set by Phillip Eng, the young ace Sven Muller proved to be the fastest during the qualifying session, winning the pole position for Sunday’s race.

Muller’s start was perfect with him managing to keep first position. As soon the race started, he was on the front of the grid managing to get the  lead. French driver Come Ledogar had very good start as well and found himself at the second position ahead of Christian Engelhart and Michael Ammermuller.

Since the Hungaroring circuit is very difficult in terms of overtaking with very few places for such maneuvers the driver standings were pretty much unchanged during the race. However, Polish driver Kuba Giermaziak managed to pass Alex Riberas.

An interesting battle was fought between Come Ledogar on second and Engelhart on third position, however, the French driver was very calm and fast and endured attacks by German ace Christian Engelhart. For full results, click HERE:
