Porsche Supercup Silverstone – qualifying
After the serious logistic problems earlier this week regarding the Eurotunnel workers strike everything is in order for Silverstone racing weekend and today’s qualifying session for the fourth round of this year’s Porsche Mobile 1 Supercup. The race is going to be held on famous Silverstone circuit – a home of British motorsport as it is called. It is well known track which hosts numerous events. The track itself is 5, 9 kilometers long and has interesting mix of straights, fast and slow curves.
The weather was very good during the week and yesterday at practice session but today is little colder and foggy with damp track. However, by the time drivers went on track it was dry. The fastest driver and winner of pole position for tomorrow’s race was Phillip Eng with time of 2:05.089 minutes. Alex Riberas who was fastest yesterday was second with very close 2:05.122 min. Michael Ammermuller, Robert Lucas and Ben Baker were third, fourth and fifth all with 2:05 time close to Eng’s result. For full results, click HERE and stay tuned for full race coverage tomorrow.
