Red Bull Formula 1 team will not run Renault engines next year, Autosport reports.

;

Unhappy with Renault’s engines in the last two seasons, it looks like Red Bull finally lost patience and decided to look elsewhere. There was a lot of hard words and charges between two sides, especially in 2015, so further partnership looks impossible, despite their contract expiring in 2016.

;

A source is reporting that Red Bull issued a document with a request of contract termination which will be accepted by French manufacturer.

;

Red Bull will probably turn to Mercedes or Ferrari engines, but it remains unclear what it means in terms of their second team, Toro Rosso, which also runs Renault engines.

;

In the meantime, Renault is negotiating a potential buy of Lotus F1 team. It s understood that the deal is close, but if two sides fail to make an agreement, Renault will probably quit Formula 1 as earlier said Renault Sport’s F1 sporting director Cyril Abiteboul.
