2015 Blancpain Endurance Series - Monza practice and pre-qualifying

After the Bronze test free practice session, the first race event of the 2015 Blancpain Endurance Series continued with the second practice session and pre qualifying session. Just as in Bronze test, the Ferrari cars continued to dominate and their results was impressive.



In free practice, second practice session held on Saturday, Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 was absolutely dominant with first four places. The fastest one was from Rinaldi Racing team driven by Rinat Salikhov and Norbert Siedler. Their time was 1:47.566. The best non Ferrari was Audi R8 LMS Ultra entered by Belgian Audi Club Team WRT on fifth place with the time of 1:48.245.


In pre qualifying session, held in the Saturday afternoon, the Ferrari dominance continued with Black Pearl Racing team drivers Steven Parrow and Pierre Kaffer being fastest in their Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 with the time of 1:47.583. In top 10 cars in this qualifying sessions, six were Ferraris and the highest ranked non Ferrari car was Nissan GT-R GT3 entered by Nissan GT Academy Team RJN which had the third time. Since this is the first race of the season, everybody was concentrated on ranking of new models of Lamborghini, Audi and McLaren. It was the Lamborghini Huracan who impressed the most, with the GRT Grasser Racing Team cars setting the 10th and 11th times respectively, only separated by 12 hundredths of a second. The better of the two new Audi R8 LMS was the Phoenix Racing car, beating the Audi Sport Team WRT machine by exactly 0.015 of a second. In between the two new Audi was the best of the new McLaren 650S, the #54 Attempto Racing machine. All three of those cars just made it into the top-25 overall.
