Formula 3 Europe - Red Bull Ring: Lance Stroll increases the championship lead
FIA Formula 3 European Championship leader Lance Stroll increases his lead with his second season’s victory today at Red Bull Ring. The 17-year-old Canadian showed impressive performance in the second race of the weekend, which he started from the pole, and crossed the finish line with nine seconds advantage over Callum Ilott. The winner of the Saturday morning’s race grabbed the second place at start, passing over George Russell, and later he defended the position from multiple attacks of the Briton.
Niko Kari was in the fourth place from start to finish, same as David Beckmann in the fifth place. Mikkel Jensen progressed from ninth at the start to P6 at the end. Maximilian Günther finished seventh and lost the second place in the championship standings. Sergio Sette Camara, Alessio Lorandi and Joel Eriksson completed the top 10.
