Joey Logano wins the First Data 500 at Martinsville Speedway, the first race in the Round of 8 of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. For the driver of the #22 Team Penske Ford Fusion it’s the second win of the season and the 20th Cup Series win in a career.

Logano led the race-high 309 of 500 laps, also winning the Stage 2, but at the end, he had to bump out Martin Truex Jr from P1 in the last lap to take the victory. After a contact with Logano, Truex lost a momentum and dropped to the third place, behind Denny Hamlin in the #11 Toyota. Kyle Busch, who led for 100 laps, finished the race in the fourth place, in front of Brad Keselowski.

Joey Logano secured his spot in the NASCAR Playoffs’ Championship 4. Two more races are scheduled in the Round of 8, at Texas Motor Speedway and ISM Raceway.
