There are only few events left in 2015 V8 Supercars season and this will be interesting finish as we enter the ITM 500 Auckland race weekend. This weekend’s racing will be held on Pukekohle Park Raceway in Auckland, New Zeland. This is the sprint type circuit, 2.9 kilometers long with fast curves and few tricky places. There will be 2 short (21 laps) races and one long (69 laps) race this weekend.

The free practice sessions took place on Friday with two 60 minutes track outings. Michael Caruso, Nissan Motorsport driver scored the fastest time on first one with 1.03.7229 time and on the second practice session, Scott McLaughlin was fastest in Ford Falcon with almost half a second better result. The third practice session on Saturday morning was again won by Scott McLaughlin.

Event 04 of the 2014 Australian V8 Supercars Championship Series

The two qualifying sessions, 10 minutes each, were held on Saturday and decided the grid standings for race 28 and 29. The first qualifying session was dominated by last year’s champion and V8 Supercars legend, Jamie Whincup in front of David Reynolds and Scott Pye. However, the second qualifying session was won by David Raynolds in front of Craig Lowdens and Scott McLaughlin with Whincup on fourth place.
