ADAC GT Masters opening weekend ended with a victory of GRT Grasser Racing Team and drivers Christian Engelhart and Rolf Ineichen. Sunday’s race was stopped once and slowed down in several occasions due to safety car employment, so we could see a little of proper racing.

Long and nervous race

The race was stopped only 25 seconds after the start. Three cars were involved in the collision and stayed badly damaged at turn 2 of Oschersleben track. Callaway Competition’s Corvette #77 and both Attempto Racing’s Lamborghinis were unable to continue the race while many other cars were ready for further racing despite minor damages.

After the restart, Luca Ludwig in the Team Zakspeed’s Mercedes still was on the top of the grid while kfzteile24 APR Motorsport’s Audi with Laurens Vanthoor was close behind on second and Land Motorsport’s Audi #29 with Christopher Mies was third.
