Ferrari Challenge Europe: Grossmann and Smeeth again on the top

Ferrari Challenge Europe round 2 ended on Sunday at Mugello Circuit. Bjorn Grossmann and Sam Smeeth repeated a success from Saturday, while Thomas Loefflad scored third win from four races zhis this year.

Grossmann (Octane 126) was in good form and won the race with a huge advantage. He passed through the finish line more than 14 seconds ahead of the pair of Rossocorsa drivers Philipp Baron and Marcelo Puglisi. Alessandro Vezzoni of Rossocorsa Pellin-Racing came fourth, what is his best result of the season.

Pirelli-Am

Just like the day before, Sam Smeeth (Stratstone Ferrari) won the race in his class. His performance was so persuasive that he finished 4th overall and almost 30 seconds ahead Martin Nelson (Autoropa) who has won 2nd place in Am-class. Tommaso Rocca (Rossocorsa) took the third place.

Coppa Shell

After being stopped on Saturday, Thomas Loefflad managed to get back on the winning track on Sunday. He clinched third victory in 2016 to maintain the overall lead in the championship. StileF Squadra Corsa driver took the lead early in the race to finish only 1.082s ahead of Alexander West (Autoropa) and 1.278s ahead of Christian Kinch (Gohm Motorsport).
