The Belgian Thierry Neuville, the four-time World Rally vice-champion, will make a debut in the circuit racing at Nürburgring’s round of the ADAC TCR Germany on August 16-18. Neuville will appear at Nürburgring as the VIP guest driver in a Hyundai i30 N TCR of Hyundai Team Engstler.

“I’m looking forward to this challenge, and I think we could bring a surprise, and I also hope I can take some of the circuit that will help me with the asphalt rallies,” said Neuville. At the end of July, he had already completed the first test at the Nürburgring, where he was assisted by Luca Engstler, the runner-up last season in the ADAC TCR Germany, who gave him some tips and tricks.

“I already have a good feeling in the Hyundai i30 N TCR after my first test laps, but we will test there again on the Thursday before the race at the Nürburgring. WTCR champion Gabriele Tarquini will join me then,” Neuville added.

A week after his one-off appearance in the ADAC TCR Germany, Neuville will drive his Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC at ADAC Rallye Deutschland (August 22-25), the tenth round of the World Rally Championship.
