Rowe Racing wins Blancpain GT 24 Hours of Spa

Rowe Racing’s BMW #99 won the Blancpain’s GT Series 24 Hours of Spa race what is the second consecutive victory for the Bavarian manufacturer in the one of the most prestigious endurance races.

The Bavarians managed to get out of the battle with Bentley, during the most of the race, as the winners. Drivers Alexander Sims, Maxime Martin and Philipp Eng did a great job in the seat of M6 GT3 car and were well prepared for all the circumstances. The race was under safety car in three occasions, 15 times was deployed full course yellow and twice the racing was slowed cause of the downpour.

AKKA ASP’s Mercedes #88 (Felix Rosenqvist, Renger van der Zande, Tristan Vautier) finished the race at the second place while Audi Sport Team WRT’s R8 #28 with the drivers Nico Muller, Laurens Vanthoor and Rene Rast grabbed last spot on the podium, in front of M-Sport’s Bentley #8 (Andy Soucek, Maxime Soulet and Wolfgang Reip).

Pro-Am Cup honours were taken by the IMSA Performance Porsche #76, while the Kessel Racing’s Ferrari #888 won the battle of the Prancing Horses in the Am Cup.
