Formula V8 3.5 - Silverstone: One more clean victory for Roy Nissany

  • Roy Nissany, Formula V8 3.5, Silverstone

Roy Nissany (Lotus) waited until the fifth round of the season for his maiden victory in the Formula V8 3.5 and than he showed a masterclass performance at Silverstone to win both races. After Saturday’s win, when he stole the first place from the pole-sitter Matthieu Vaxiviere, Nissany repeated the same scenario on Sunday’s afternoon. He again had a best starting reaction and took the lead, while Vaxiviere had a slow start and dropped to fourth.

Nissany’s teammate Rene Binder jumped from fourth to second and remained there until the end, securing 1-2 victory for Lotus. Egor Orudzhev (Arden Motorsport) started third and finished third.

Matthieu Vaxiviere had a race to forget. After he dropped down with a slow start, he lost two more positions in the following laps from Aurelien Panis and Tom Dillmann. On lap 22, Vaxiviere decided to attack Dillmann but instead of moving in front, he went wide and lost one more position from Louis Deletraz. At the end, Vaxiviere finished seventh.

After five rounds and ten races, Tom Dillmann is still a series leader, with 156 points. Nissany progressed to the second place with 124 points, five more than Deletraz.
