Scuderia Praha’s #11 Ferrari 488 GT3 wins the 12 hours of Mugello, the second round of the 2017 24H Series. The red Ferrari of Czech team was driven by Matteo Malucelli, Jiri Pisarik and Josef Kral.

Scuderia Praha started the race from pole and dominated for most of the race, rounding 326 laps around Mugello Circuit and winning with four-lap advantage over #17 Mercedes-AMG GT3 of the French IDEC Sport Racing team. The second-placed Mercedes was driven by Patrice Lafargue, Paul Lafargue and Dimitri Enjalbert.

The #21 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 of Konrad Motorsport crossed the finish line third, but the team was penalized with 120 seconds because of incorrect driver’s ID, so the #30 RAM Racing’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 was promoted to the third place. Drivers in the #30 car were Tom Onslow-Cole, Leonard Vos and Kevin Veltman.

One more class victory for defending champions

Another Mercedes, the #1 of Hofor Racing, finished fifth overall and repeated A6-Am class victory from the season-opening race at Dubai, announcing that the team wants to defend their last year’s championship title. The drivers of the #1 Mercedes were Kenneth Heyer, Christian Frankenhout, Roland Eggimann, Michael Kroll and Chantal Kroll.

The A6-Am class podium was completed with #963 crew of GRT Grasser Racing Team in the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and #24 SPS Automotive Performance crew in the Mercedes-AMG GT3.

Class 991 winners are Charles Putman, Charles Espenlaub and Joe Foster, who were driving the #85 Porsche for PROsport Performance. Other class winners were #78 Speed Lover Porsche (class SP2), #115 Bonk Motorsport Audi RS3 LMS (TCR class), #227 Nova Race Ginetta G55 GT4 (class SP3-GT4), #171 Team Eva Solo/K-Rejser Peugeot RCZ (class A2).
