Blancpain GT Series: GRT Grasser Racing dominates at Brands Hatch

GRT Grasser Racing Team enjoyed a perfect weekend at Brands Hatch after Mirko Bortolotti and Christian Engelhart won both races of Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup.

Drivers of #63 Lamborghini Huaracan GT3 did the same as the HTP Motorsport pair Maximilian Buhk and Franck Perera in the season-opening round. They won both races of the weekend and took the lead in the championship standings.

In the 60-minute Qualifying race, the #63 Lamborghini won relatively easily, finishing the race 3 seconds clear to #98 Rowe Racing’s BMW of Markus Palttala and Jesse Krohn, while the other GRT’s Lamborghini of Ezequiel Perez Companc and Norbert Siedler completed the podium.

In the Main race Grasser Racing Team #63 Lamborghini was even more convincing, leading from start to finish and beating two Audis of Team WRT. Stuart Leonard and Robin Frijns were 2nd in #17 R8 LMS, with Will Stevens and Markus Winkelhock in car #2 took the 3rd place in the Main race.
