British GT at Spa: Victories for Barwell Motorsport and Team Parker Racing
Barwell Motorsport and Team Parker Racing are the winners of two 60-minute races of British GT Championship at Spa circuit.
Race 1
Barwell Motorsport’s pair Phil Keen and Jon Minshaw triumphed in the first race of the weekend and strengthened their lead in the overall standings. They scored a 4th win of the season and they did it in great style. Drivers of the #33 Lamborghini Huracan took the chequered flag with the margin of 14s to the second-placed guest drivers Alain Ferte and Stuart Leonard of the Belgian Team WRT in Audi R8 LMS. A bit surprisingly, Kessel Racing’s Ferrari 488 GT3 of Piti Bhirombhakdi and Carlo van Dam completed the podium after a big battle with the second-placed squad.

Keen and Minshaw were close of winning both races at Spa
In the GT4 class, Ebor GT’s Maserati GT MC of Charlie Fagg and Matthew Graham recorded a maiden win in the series with a bit of luck but they absolutely deserved it. That was an exceptional victory as they triumphed from dead last. Alex Reed and David Pittard in the Lanan Racing’s Ginetta G55 finished 2nd while HHC Motorsport’s pair William Tregurtha and Stuart Middleton, also in Ginetta G55, finished 3rd in the opening race.

Race 2
In the second race of the day Keen and Minshaw were on a good way of scoring another win but in the very last stage of the race Minshaw had a contact with some of the GT4 cars and dropped to the back of the grid. That allowed Team Parker Racing #7 Bentley Continental of Callum MacLeod and Ian Loggie to take the lead and to score a maiden victory in the series. Ferte and Leonard in Audi again were 2nd while MacMillan AMR’s Aston Martin #24 of James Littlejohn and Jack Mitchell finished 3rd.

In the GT4 class Ebor Motorsport’s Graham and Fagg scored second win of the day after some pretty interesting battle with HHC Motorsport’s car #55. The third place went to Tolman Motorsport’s #56 McLaren 570S of David Pattison and Joe Osborne.
