ELMS finale: Titles for G-Drive Racing, United Autosports, JMW Motorsport
The 4 Hours of Portimao, which took place at Algarve International Circuit this weekend, was the final round of the 2017 European Le Mans Series.
The champions are crowned in three categories – G-Drive Racing’s Leo Roussel and Memo Rojas in the LMP2 class, United Autosports’ Sean Rayhall and John Falb in the LMP3 class and JMW Motorsport’s Jody Fannin and Robert Smith in the GTE class.

G-Drive Racing captured a title in the LMP2 class
The winners of the last championship round in 2017 are Richard Bradley, James Allen and Gustavo Yacaman in the #40 Graff Oreca 07-Gibson. The championship-winning pair finished in fourth place, sharing the #22 G-Drive Racing Oreca with Ryo Hirakawa.
In the LMP3 class, John Falb and Sean Rayhall finished the race second-placed in the #2 Ligier JS P3, behind teammates in the #3 United Autosports car. The race-winning car was driven by Wayne Boyd, Christian England and Mark Patterson.

The most exciting finale was in the GTE class, in which TF Sport and JMW Motorsport came to Portugal with one-point gap. JMW Motorsport’s #66 Ferrari 488 GTE, driven by Jody Fannin, Robert Smith and Will Stevens, finished in the second place, two positions ahead of the #90 TF Sport Aston Martin, driven by Nicki Thiim, Euan Hankey and Salih Yoluc.
The race winners in the GTE class are Mattero Cairoli, Joel Camathias and Christian Ried in the #77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR.
