FIA WEC: Second win in a row for #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid

  • GTE Am class winners in the #98 Aston Martin

Sebastien Buemi, Anthony Davidson and Kazuki Nakajima are the winners of 6 hours of Spa, the second round of the 2017 FIA World Endurance Championship. A trio in the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid scored their second win in a row after the season-opening triumph at Silverstone few weeks ago. At Spa, Toyota celebrates a double victory as the #7 car, driven by Kamui Kobayashi and Mike Conway, finished in the second place.

Porsche Team’s Brendon Hartley, Timo Bernhard and Earl Bamber reached their second podium in two races. After finishing second at Silverstone, their #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid crossed the finish line at Spa in the third place.

Class winners: G-Drive, AF Corse, Aston Martin Racing

G-Drive Racing’s #26 Oreca 07-Gibson takes the win in the LMP2 class. Drivers were Alex Lynn, Roman Rusinov and Pierre Thiriet.Vaillante Rebellion’s #31 crew and Jackie Chan DC Racing’s #38 crew completed a podium.

In the LMGTE Pro class, AF Corse scores a double victory with #71 Ferrari 488 GTE in the first place and #51 car behind. Race winners are Sam Bird and Davide Rigon, ahead of James Calado and Alessandro Pier Guidi in the second car. The LMGTE Am winners are Pedro Lamy, Mathias Lauda and Paul Dalla Lana in the #98 Aston Martin Vantage GTE.
