Formula 1: Mexican pole position for Sebastian Vettel

Sebastian Vettel will start from pole position in tomorrow’s Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez. It’s the fourth pole position of the season for a driver of the #5 Ferrari and Vettel’s 50th F1 pole position in a career.

Vettel set the fastest time and track record (1.16.488) in the third qualifying round, beating Max Verstappen (Red Bull), who was the fastest in Q2. Championship leader Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) was the third-fastest, ahead of his teammate Valtteri Bottas.

Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) and Esteban Ocon (Force India) will start from the third row, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) and Nico Hulkenberg (Renault). Carlos Sainz (Renault) and Sergio Perez (Force India) completed top 10.
