Porsche Carrera Cup Germany: Yelloly and Olsen winners at Nürburgring

Nick Yelloly and Dennis Olsen are the winners of two races in the sixth round of the 2017 Porsche Carrera Cup Germany at Nürburgring. For Yelloly, it’s his second win of the season while Olsen triumphed sixth time this year, increasing his lead in drivers’ standings.

After six rounds and twelve races, Olsen has 206 points, 31 more than Yelloly. Christopher Zochling is third with 134 points, ahead of Michael Ammermuler and Larry ten Voorde.

Christopher Zochling started from pole in both races

Christopher Zochling started both races from pole but didn’t succeed to convert any of those poles to his first wins of the season. In the first race, Zochling finished sixth, behind the best rookie Larry ten Vorde in P5 and Christian Engelhart in P4. Nick Yelloly won the race ahead of Dennis Olsen and Michael Ammermuller.

In the second race, pole-sitter Zochling reached a podium, finishing third behind Dennis Olsen and Nick Yelloly. Christian Engelhart and Michael Ammermuller were fighting for P4 until lap 20, when Engelhart spun after a contact with his rival. Ammermuller finished fourth, Engelhart dropped to ninth place.
