Engelhart ends Olsen's winning streak

Dennis Olsen’s winning streak in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany was stopped after Christian Engelhart won the Race 2 at Lausitzring.

Christian Engelhart again started from pole position but this time he was able to keep it after the start of the race. Christopher Zochling was his closest rival, while Michael Ammermuller and winner of Saturday’s race Dennis Olsen were in positions 3 and 4.

Although the gaps between the top 5 were pretty tight, it was relatively quiet first half of the race. After 14 laps Engelhart’s lead was a bit more comfortable and it was obvious that only some mistake can prevent him from winning the race. With three laps to go, Olsen overtook Ammermuller for the 3rd place and was all over Zochling in the closing stage of the race but the championship leader had to settle for the 3rd position.
