Kfzteile24 MS Racing clinched one-two victory in the race two of ADAC GT Masters at Nurburgring. Marc Basseng and Florian Stoll beat their teammates Edward Sandstrom and Daniel Dobitsch in a not so interesting race, while the third were GW IT Racing Team Schutz Motorsport’s Klaus Bachler and Martin Ragginger in Porsche.

It was another rainy day at Nürburgring and yellow flag was shown just after the start, but not because of the wet track, but incorrect formation. After a new start, Klaus Bachler kept first position, while yesterday’s winner Nicki Thiim overtook Philip Geipel to claim second place.

First lap wasn’t completed when safety car was employed. Kelvin van der Linde spun on the track and Uwe Alzen in BMW went straight into C.Abt Racing’s Audi, so both drivers were forced to retire. After more than 10 minutes race is continued and Nicki Thiim took the lead from Bachler, while Marc Basseng moved up to third. In a meantime, champion leader Luca Ludwig, who was 13th at the moment, got a drive-through penalty for overtaking under safety car.

When pit window has opened, gaps between the top five were very tight as all of them were in only five seconds. Thiim still was on top, followed by Bachler, Basseng, Geipel and Christer Jons, but Thiim made a mistake, sliding out of track and soon having to retire. Safety car came out again on track adding more misery to proper racing.

Once the drivers change was completed, Florian Stoll was the leader, Andreas Weishaupt was second, while on third was Daniel Dobitsch. Just like on Saturday, three Audis were in charge with good chances to keep their podium places until the end.

But, in the remaining 20 minutes, Stoll managed to keep first place, but Weishaupt couldn’t keep his rhytm. Dobitsch finished second making perfect day for kfzteile24 MS Racing, while Martin Ragginger in a Porsche won third. Dominik Baumann in BMW finished fourth leaving Harald Proczyk on fifth place.
