British GT: Oman Racing Team and Century Motorsport top FP2 at Spa

Oman Racing Team’s Rory Butcher in the GT3 class and Century Motorsport’s Aleksander Schjerpen in the GT4 class were the fastest in the second free practice of the British GT round at Spa.

Driving an Aston Martin Vantage GT3, Butcher set the lap time at 2:21.782, 0.173 seconds better than the result of TF Sport’s similar Vantage GT3 with Andrew Jarman and Jody Fannin behind the wheel. Jon Minshaw of Barwell Motorsport, whose BMW Z4 GT3 was the fastest in the first free practice, this time had third best  result – 2:22.505. Reigning champions Attard and Sims were sixth in the second free practice and it will be interesting see if they will improve in the afternoon qualifying session

Von Ryan Racing might miss out on the qualifying round after Ross Wylie crashed his McLaren 650S into the wall of tyres causing one-hour session to be red-flagged for a short period of time.
