British GT: Pole positions for Beechdean AMR and Fox Motorsport

Beechdean AMR’s car #007 and Fox Motorsport’s #48 were the fastest in the qualifying for the sixth round of British GT at Brands Hatch.

In the interesting qualifying session, pole position in GT3 class won Beechdean AMR’s duo Andrew Howard and Jonathan Adam. Drivers of Aston Martin had combined best time, beating Triple Eight Racing’s pair Lee Mowle and Joe Osborne by 0.262 seconds.

Third were Ross Wylie and Andrew Watson in the VonRyan Racing’s McLaren 650S GT3 what is their best qualifying result in this season. They will be accompanied in the second row at the start of the Sunday’s race with Ecurie Ecosse’s BMW Z4 GT3 pair Marco Attard and Alexander Sims after the latter one was excellent during second round of the session.

Fifth place in qualifying was won by Rory Butcher and Liam Griffin of Oman Racing Team, while the sixth were TF Sport’s pair Andrew Jarman and Jody Fennin in Aston Martin Vantage GT3.

Brands Hatch

In the GT4 class Fox Motorsport’s pair Jamie Stanley and Paul McNeilly claimed their first pole position. Ginetta G55 drivers were almost a second faster than ISSY Racing’s Lotus Evora with Oz Yusuf and Gavan Kershaw. Century Motorsport’s Aleksander Schjerpen and James Birch were third leaving Academy Motorsport’s Will Moore and Dennis Strandberg on fourth in their Aston Martin Vantage.

Start of the British GT race at Brands Hatch is on Sunday 14.30 CET.
