Sebastian Vettel won pole position for the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix night race. Ferrari driver and former champion was excellent and deserved his starting position in front of Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo.

During the first round, Mercedes continued to struggle while Ferrari and Red Bull continued where they were in free practices. McLaren also looked much more better as Alonso and Button both qualified for the second round. Daniil Kvyat was the fastest with 1:45.450, while both Saubers with Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson, failed to qualify for Q2, together with Pastor Maldonado in the Lotus and both Marussias with Alexander Rossi and Will Stevens.

Battle between Ferrari and Red Bull has continued in second round. This time, the fastest one was Sebastian Vettel with a lap time of 1:44.743. Lewis Hamilton was sixth and Nico Rosberg seventh, so it was interesting to see how Mercedes will go in the last round. Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz, Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg failed to qualify for the last round.

Daniil Kvyat

Lap time of 1:43.885 was enough for Vettel to secure pole position, first since joining Ferrari, 0.543s faster than Ricciardo. Kimi Raikkonen will start from third and Daniil Kvyat from fourth place, while Mercedes had very bad day. Lewis Hamilton starts from fifth position and Nico Rosberg from sixth.
