After the Monza feature race, Pierre Gasly and Alex Lynn were penalized. Alex Lynn started the race from the pits because of a crash with Sergey Sirotkin, as well as Gasly for removed tire valves. The 21-lap long race started with Norman Nato out of the race, Jordan King with a broken front wing and Arthur Pic in the lead. Also, Alexander Rossi reported a tire puncture. On lap 5, Mitch Evans overtook his fellow Kiwi Richie Stanaway and started aiming for race leader Arthur Pic. On lap 7, Stanaway lost the third to Vandoorne. On the same lap, Rossi and Visoiu collided, causing a yellow flag and safety car deployment.

On lap 8, the race restarted. On lap 10, Sirotkin made a great move on Marciello and Haryanto, overtaking them both in the start-finish straight. Sirotkin continued making progress, climbing to sixth in the following laps. On the penultimate lap, Sirotkin went up to fifth by overtaking Canamasas while race leader Arthur Pic had to withstand attacks from Mitch Evans. On the last lap, Evans took the lead and kept it until the end of the race, winning for the first time this season. Pic had to settle for second, while Vandoorne was on third. He was followed by Stanaway, Sirotkin, Canamasas, Marciello and Rene Binder in top eight. You can see the detailed results here.
