Valtteri Bottas had excellent start of probably the least interesting race this season as he moved to from seventh to fifth, while the standings of top four remained unchanged. In lap 2 Carlos Sainz stopped on track and young Spaniard was first who had to retire. On
the back of the grid, Fernando Alonso went well as he quickly moved up five places, but couldn’t keep that for long time.

Two Mercedes’ again confirmed they are too fast for the rest of the pack, so the most interesting battle in the opening stage of the race was for eighth position between couple of drivers. After lap 11, many drivers decided to make first pit-stop what caused shuffle in the standings, but on the top everything still was same.

After 20 laps it was obvious that only change of strategy or some accident could make impact to the outcome of the race. Rosberg and Hamilton were within a second, while the others were too far and looked like this will be most boring race in the season, except some nice moves made by Max Verstappen.
