Qualifying for the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas is canceled due to bad weather conditions.

After rainy Free practice 3, there was a small chance for the qualifying session to be held, but weather was so bad that only reasonable decision was to call off qualifying as the track more looked like rowing lane.

Session was delayed five times for 30 minutes before race officials finally decided to move it for Sunday morning at 9 o’clock local time. Or more precisely, they at first place had to wait until TV time runs out and then to announce what was obvious.

If weather conditions won’t become better on Sunday, there is a possibility the grid could be set based on times from FP3. But, it will be it interesting to see what gonna happen with a race as the long-term forecast suggests no signs of improvement.
