Audi Sport TT Cup: Third season's victory for Sheldon van der Linde

Sheldon van der Linde wins Race 2 of the Audi Sport TT Cup at Nürburgring Grand Prix Circuit to extend his lead in the series. The young South African has won three of four races so far. After a mistake in the Friday’s Race a cost him valuable points as he finished in seventh place, Van der Linde didn’t make any mistake in Saturday’s race and he took the lights-to-flag victory ahead of Dennis Marschall and Joonas Lappalainen.

In the first few turns, Van der Linde had to oppose Marschall’s attacks, but after that his leading position wasn’t under threat anymore. The race was interrupted once with Safety car period after Kevin Strohschank went off to the gravel, so the gaps were decreased. At the end, Van der Linde crossed the finish line 0.6 sec ahead of Marshall. Third-placed Lappalainen was 2.5sec late.
