  • Kevin Harvick

Kevin Harvick won the Hollywood Casino 400 race at Kansas Speedway and secured the place in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Chase’s next round.

The driver of Stewart-Haas Racing led 74 of 267 laps and won the race finishing 1.183s ahead of Carl Edwards (Joe Gibbs Racing) while Team Penske’s Joey Logano was third, finishing 4.544s behind the winner. Harvick is the second driver who secured place in the ‘Round of Eight’ after Jimmie Johnson did it last week.

Matt Kenseth started from pole position and led 116 laps but after troubles with handling dropped ack and finished 9th. Harvick was confident in the final stage of the race and managed to resist treats from Johnson, Edwards, Logano and last year’s winner at Kansas, Kyle Busch.
