Audi Sport TT Cup: Shaun Thong wins Norisring race 1

Shaung Thong is the winner of the first Audi Sport TT Cup race at Norisring. It was a lights-to-flag victory for the Hong Kong driver and his first win in the new single-make series which is a part of support program for DTM. The race was held in very wet conditions, but fortunately there were no major incidents and all 25 laps were raced without safety car interventions.

Shaun Thong started from pole position and was able to keep the race lead in front of Polish driver Jan Kisiel. The podium was completed by Nicolaj Moller Madsen in third place. It was his third podium in the three races of the Audi Sport TT Cup so far.

The hero of the race was undoubtedly Seat Sport factory driver and guest racer Jordi Gene, who started tenth and finished fourth. In the last few laps he was fighting against Christoph Hofbauer, with multiple overtakings, but in the end Gene was more successful.
