ADAC GT Masters: Pole positions for Schutz Motorsport at Nurburgring
GW IT Racing Team Schutz Motorsport’s pair Klaus Bachler and Martin Ragginger won pole positions for both ADAC GT Masters races at Nurburgring.
Austrian Ragginger beat Sebastian Asch during first qualifying session by only 0.034 seconds to claim pole position for the first race of the second half of the season. From third place in starting grid will start Bentley Team HTP’s Clemens Schmid, while fourth in the first qualifying session was another Bentley Team HTP’s Continental GT3 with Luca Stolz who was 0.153 seconds faster than Callaway Competitions Diego Alessi.
In the second qualifying session, Schutz Motorsport’s Porsche 911 GT3 R again set best lap time, this time with Klaus Bachler in the seat. YACO Racing’s Philip Geipel surprised taking second place in Audi R8 LMS Ultra with a gap of 0.197 seconds. Places in the second row at starting grid are won by Jordan Lee Pepper (C.Abt Racing) and Fabian Hamprecht (Bentley Team HTP). Interestingly, championship leader Luca Ludwig in Team Zakspeed’s Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 managed to claim only eighth position.
Both races of ADAC GT Masters’ fifth round, on Saturday and Sunday, will start at 13:15 CET.
