  • Porsche Carrera Cup Germany Oschersleben - practice

After a long summer break, fastest cup championship in Germany – Carrera Cup Germany is back with interesting racing action and undecided championship title. There are three racing weekends until the end of the 2015 season, each with two races. This week, the Carrera Cup Germany will be held on an interesting track in Oschersleben, Germany. The Motorsport Arena Oschersleben is a well-known local venue with interesting track layout. There are few long and fast straights and fast curves but there are also a few technical corners and slow sections of the track. However, it will be very interesting to see how the 991 GT3 Cup will handle this circuit.

Firday was the practice day with one hour long training session. The results were interesting and Porsche Junior Sven Muller achieved the best time of 1.30.056 minutes. Just after a successful weekend in Monza in Porsche Supercup, Muller is back in Carrera Cup Germany with good results. Does this mean that Phillip Eng‘s domination during this season is over? It is too early to say and Muller’s chances of winning Carrera Cup Germany title are very slim but is safe to say that Austrian driver has strong competition in likes of young Porsche Junior ace. These good results on practice session just show that Muller is on the roll and that his talents, skill and concentration are enough to put him on top. Second best time in practice was achieved by Christian Englelhart and third was talented Ben Baker. Championship leader Phillip Eng was fourth and behind him was Porsche Cup veteran Nicki Thiim.
