Mawson wins first ADAC F4 race at Oschersleben

Joey Mawson, driver of the Van Amersfoort Racing team, is the winner of the ADAC F4 Championship race 1 at Oschersleben.

The 20-year-old Australian was only 1.049s faster than Kim Luis Schramm (US Racing) from Germany while the third was his teammate and compatriot Jannes Fittje, who finished 2.087s behind the winner. Fans favourite Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam) had to settle for fourth position, well ahead of Moritz Muller-Crepon, another Amersfoort Racing team driver.

Two races of ADAC Formula 4 are scheduled for Sunday. Race 2 of the season’s first weekend will start 10.10 while the race 3 start is at 16.40 CET.
