BTCC: Andy Priaulx will miss races at Rockingham

West Surrey Racing’s driver Andy Priaulx will miss BTCC race at Rockingham on September 5-6th because of clashing commitments in European Le Mans Series at Paul Ricard Circuit. He is going to be replaced by another driver but WSR has so far not announced a replacement. Decision is expected soon. Event at Rockingham is 8th round of 2015 BTCC season, Priaulx will be part of the team as usual at two rounds at Snetterton and Knockhill in August and at the Brands Hatch finale in October.

40-years old Priaulx is returnee to British Touring Car Championship in which he competed until 2002. In the meantime he was European and triple World Touring Car Champion, contested in DTM and some other series (V8 Supercars, ALMS, USCC). In 2015 besides BTCC races in WSR’s BMW 125i M Sport Priaulx was driving BMW Z4 for BMW Team Marc VDS in European Le Mans Series and for Turner Motorsport in IMSA Tudor United Sports Car Series.
