488 GTE and 488 GT3 are racing derivates of road-goind supercar 488 GTB, which was revealed  earlier this year. Ferrari WEC driver Giancarlo Fisichella and his colleagues pulled the cover from the new car, which is ready for competitive debut in 2016. The 488 GTE will replace the 458 GT2 at Le Mans and the World Endurance Championship. New car is made according to new GTE regulations, with better downforce, and it is expected that will be faster than predecessor. The 488 GT3 will replace 458 GT3 at worldwide competitions  with GT3 regulations.

Both cars are powered by the twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8. Because of power restrictions in both categories new cars are producing significantly less than the road car’s 670 hp – GT3 version develops 550 hp, while GTE has a larger configuration of the same engine with 3996cc and 485 hp. The GTB’s seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is replaced by a race-spec sequential gearbox, which will send power to the rear wheels.
