Felix Rosenqvist (Prema Powerteam) was unstoppable again, 11th time this season he scored the victory in FIA Formula 3 European Championship. After a dominant win in Race 1 today at Nürburgring he repeated the same story in afternoon’s Race 2. Current championship leader started from pole and led the race until the end, crossing the finish line with five seconds advantage ahead of Antonio Giovinazzi (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin). Lance Stroll (Prema Powerteam) finished third.

Race was interrupted with two Safety car periods but despite that, Rosenqvist built a solid gap in front of others. Giovinazzi, who started fourth, overtook Jake Dennis (Prema Powerteam) in the opening lap and in Lap 13, after the second restart, he jumped ahead of Lance Stroll to second position. There were no other changes on the top, so Stroll and Dennis remained third and fourth respectively.

FIA Formula 3 European Championship, round 10, Nürburgring (GER)

First Safety car intervention was caused by Alessio Lorandi (Van Amersfoort Racing), who stopped near the track in Lap 6 after a clash with Nabil Jeffri (Motopark). Second SC outing followed after Gustavo Menezes (Jagonya Ayam with Carlin) got stuck in the gravel trap in Lap 9.

After his 11th victory and with new 25 points at his account Felix Rosenqvist extended the championship lead ahead of Giovinazzi. The difference is 65,5 points, with one more race at Nürburgring scheduled for tomorrow morning. If Rosenqvist increases the gap to 75 points or more he will take the title before the final round at Hockenheim.
