Free practice 2 in Austin called off

The Free practice 2 of the United States Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas was cancelled due to bad weather conditions.

Dark and gloomy clouds delayed the start of the Free practice 2 as the marshals were unable to work due to the proximity of lightning. Heavy rain started soon, visibility was very poor and after 30 minutes, it was clear that there wouldn’t be any driving on the flooded track.

Twenty minutes later, it was officially confirmed that Free practice 2 had been called off. But another problem is that the weather forecast for the weekend has predicted even worse weather. Needless to say, we can expect quite a complicated Saturday and Sunday.
