Luca Ghiotto is the winner of the GP3 race 2 in Bahrain and claimed back leading position in the championship standings.

Starting from fourth place, Trident’s driver had a great battle with Esteban Ocon on Saturday and managed to take fifth victory in the season. ART Grand Prix driver Ocon finished second, 2.37s behind Italian driver, while Koiranen GP’s Matt Parry finished third with a gap of 9.193s.

In the Drivers’ championship standings Luca Ghiotto now leads with 227 points, just two more than Esteban Ocon, while Marvin Kirchhofer and Emil Bernstorff are well behind on third and fourth place, with 174 and 172 points respectively.

So, two races before the end of the season, battle for Drivers’ championship title is widely open and we could expect interesting fight in Abu Dhabi next weekend.

ART Grand Prix secired Teams’ championship title on Friday, while Trident and Arden International are the rivals for runners-up place. Italian team has 263 points, while British has 253.
