Pirelli made a tyres selection for next Formula 1 races

Pirelli, official tyre supplier of Formula 1 racing, made a selection of tyres for the next four races of the 2015 season.

At Hungaroring and Spa-Francorchamps, Pirelli opted for yellow-marked soft and white-marked medium tyres. Same tyre offer will be on cards in Monza what is the change from 2014 when the hard and medium tyres were available. This is quite unexpected as in recent years has been very unusual for teams to have same offerings in Hungary and Italy. Pirelli explained this tyres selection would open up interesting possibilities for teams to make a race strategy.

For Silverstone the hard and medium compounds will be in offer in order to handle circuit which is fast and flowing and puts plenty of energy through the tyres. Soft or supersoft compounds were not included in the selection just two times this year – in Malaysia and Spain, so the British Grand Prix will be the third with hard-medium combination of tyres.

Pirelli also added that the high temperatures often experienced in Hungary, and the need to offer consistency at Spa, the longest circuit on the current Formula 1 calendar, had influenced their tyres choices for the respective races.
