While Sims was controlling his GTLM class lead in the closing laps, the fight in GTD class lasted until the last turn. In the end, Baumann crossed the finish line 0.567 seconds ahead of Patrick Long in the #58 Porsche 911 GT3 R of Wright Motorsports. Long steals P2 in the last lap from Katherine Legge in the #86 Acura NSX GT3 of Meyer-Shank Racing. There were two female drivers on the GTD podium as Long was sharing a car with Christina Nielsen.
